Bits, Beta, and Bacchanalia: A Manifesto

Hello and welcome to Bits, Beta, and Bacchanalia (B-Cubed), a site about technology, economics, culture and how they all intersect. B-Cubed will feature discussions and features on other subjects as well, but those three will attract the majority of our attention. More importantly, we hope to delve into the connections between these varied subjects.

Why these three core subjects? Each of these: technology, economics, and culture, are critical to understanding an increasingly globalized world. One can argue that politics, law, etc. also serve an important (if not central) function, but bits, beta, and bacchanalia are the fuel that move the rest forward. As we adjust ourselves to our changing economy and globe, it is important to understand these three areas and how they intersect and interact. Whether looking at how virtual reality will lead to a new era of filmmaking or how new energy sources will alter the global economy, B-Cubed will aim to give unique perspective and, in time, original reporting on many such topics.

A little bit about myself, your humble editor of B-Cubed: I studied economics and international relations in undergraduate and currently work at the intersection of law, economics, and business as a consultant. I have a wide network of interesting writers, filmmakers, and content producers whom I hope to loop in and help me create interesting features as well.

In time, I hope to have B-Cubed engage in a myriad of topics and conversations. Your feedback is highly encouraged to help me get there! Let me know in the comments what you would like to see discussed and what your thoughts are on our various articles.

Thanks for reading and we hope you join in the conversation!
